I remember buying a simulation, some time during 1996, a book really with few printed cards and read something like "Tom Peter's Business school in a box". This was a role play where 5-6 people played role of company's key executives. This was my first really exciting experience with simulation.

I would have liked it much shorter than it currently is. Still it is not too long and in my opinion, gives decent feel for managing with scorecard or KPI like system. You make decisions under two types of system. In part one you make decisions where the information provided is much like in budgetary and financial control system. In part 2 you make decisions where the information provided comes from KPI like system. In the end I hope, this will help you realize the usefulness of system of balanced KPI measures.
