My suggestion to Leaders like Nilekani, especially who has lot of money to spare is this. They seem to think that you can influence change only by being inside the organization. Take the bull by the horn theory. Nothing wrong. But I don’t think it works for congress like organization.
Why not think in these lines..
1. Dont’ you think Zukerberg (FB) is influencing Indian Governance? Can you Imagine AAP movement without FB/twitter/Google?
2. Who has more say in Indian economics - American President or Indian PM? before you judge, take influence of software on Indian economy and its buyers
3. Is AAP success totally of AK or young educated who are donating, working hard for AAP
4. Is Bill Gates foundation doing better job in helping and educating poor or world bank, or the local government?
5. Who helped the poor in India? Government or Mother Teresa?
In my opinion when it comes to governance in public space there is possibly no such thing as inside and outside. So if you really want help, to me, when it comes to India, the path is on the otherside.
