Hyderabad Airport is testing Facial recognition system to ease the passenger processes at the airport.
The facial recognition system will be installed at multiple checkpoints in the airport such as entry gate, security check and aircraft boarding point. It will also be facilitated in the self-bag drop and check-in to identify the passengers.
A passenger can enrol at the registration kiosk placed at the terminal entry for registering the passenger’s face ID along with specified government-issued photo Identification proof. The passenger has to then scan the boarding pass at the designated E-gate that will automatically verify the boarding pass information and map passenger’s face.
