It is amazing to know how little motor brick organizations know about technology. Millions of dollars get spent on software that do not work and executives keep waiting for those software for years to be operational. And then the best part, no one uses them for next two years!!
There are lots of young tech companies who give software as service on cloud for a price that is unbelievable and quick. As comapred to software monasteries like, Microsoft, SAP, IBM etc. These are competent and business ready powerful software. For instance, for business intelligence, which one will you use?? Microsoft- SQL server, Sharepoint, IBM's- Cognos, SAP's- business logic etc??
That is certainly safe, and long-drawn bet. But now there are smarter solutions..
