We need nothing short of parellel governance. Build alternative to governing. We cannot keep on blaming and waiting. There was a time when jobs meant either government jobs or public sectors jobs. Not anymore now you are hot shot if you have good job in Infosys or wipro or IBM.
Private sector companies are not built by government. They are despite the government. I suggest we need to take similar route to governing. Difficult yes. but doable.
1. We pay tax..but still need to fund such alternative governance! Actually you may not need even 10% of money the goevrnment collects. 90% is either ineffective or goes into pockets. May be other way around.
2. Hire competent people to do full time job of governance on POLICE. E.g. We can have voluntary organization managed by INFOSYS or IBM who will take up security of weomen in JP Nagar Bangalore. Now, you may collect money from citizens to do that. Hire private security firm, raise awareness etc. Trust me if Infosys does it there will be lot of people like me who will pay that extra tax. I would go step further, I do not mind if such organization even makes some profit from it. I trust them better than I trust the government. Lot of people do.
3. Lobby for right laws. Lets have a stanford MBA ( figurative) who heads this battery of IITs to influence the minister concerned..may be we will hire Palkhiwalla to draft the law..and so on.
4. Lets build a tracking IT system. I said lets fund it and build it. Not asking government. That we did. It will not help. 1 million people went with Anna Hazzaare. ??? So get smarter. Again do not put some unused personnel. Lets get the best on this job.
5. and so on ...please feel free to add your ideas. It is practical!!! What alternative do we have?? It is better than just shouting in front of CM's House!
