How about outsourcing a whole nation-management to Google for managing it effectively? Will google managers be able to manage say a country ? Many might think it is not that easy to manage the country. Managing a company is one thing and managing country is another ? Not really .
1. If we give and they willing, will the google be able to say manage a country like India? Ok.Google is essentially American..lets make it more Indian.. will Infosys or Wipro be able to manage India?
2. Who has to decide and what needs to happen so that we can ask more competent people to manage countries?
3. Or lets make it more practical, Can companies find out areas where they can manage issues of governments such as, roads, women security, police, health insurance, etc also? See companies have managed employment very well so far, which was essentially the government thing in the past.
4. You may ask. How can Infosys manage Indian police? They can, in very powerful ways.. E.g. Infosys can fund police training ...or organize and orchestrate such a thing...Nandan Nilekani is doing something like that in a small way anyways..
5. Once we start thinking in that direction we realize that there are lot of things which we can influence and do which can have unbelievable impact! I feel our corporate are not acting more socially in an integrated way and this can be more easily achieved than say changing police/political mindset/competence
6. How about Azim Premji sponsoring woman private helpline? It is far more effective than times writing against police inaction in its dailies...
